Everything That Sparkles & Shines

Lately I have somehow developed a love of chandeliers and everything that sparkles and shines.  I picked up these two chandeliers for $40 each, cleaned them, got the wiring checked and had them installed.  I love them and wonder why anyone would not want to have them hanging proudly in their homes.
This one is a three arm crystal chandelier.

This one, may be not everyone's cup of tea but I think it is rather special.  I think it is a Venini Mazzega Murano Glass, Fire and Ice Chandelier.  I did a little searching and found the exact hook on pieces on ebay selling for $950.  If that is the case well I certainly got a bargain.
Lastly a delightful jeweled lizard that my daughter gave me for Mothers Day, I think it is gorgeous.

Have a great day

Shirley :)

  1. I'm pretty sure I have the exact same three arm chandelier downstairs in our shed (I have 2 that used to be my Grandmothers).
They are beautiful, but has to have the right feel in the room to have one, you know.
We couldn't have it hanging in our place because we have modern things in every room, plus "feature wall' which the last owners painted VERY quickly to help try to sell the house, but we'll get to that soon enough.

By the way - I enjoy your blog.

  2. Hi Dahra,

Yes I can see your point, for many years I really couldn't see the beauty in them, may be as I have gotten older my tastes are changing. These days I tend to appreciate quirky things, if I like something I tend to just make it fit in lol.

  3. The chandeliers will certainly add a bit of glamour to a room - a good bargain.
